Available via Live webinar, this seminar will outline the different types of performance textiles currently used in building design, and how each can be applied in a variety of architectural applications to solve challenges including occupant health and safety.
Learning objectives of this course include, to:
- Gain an understanding of how solar protection performance textiles, applied on the interior and exterior of a building, can help address occupant wellness, energy efficiency, occupant comfort and thermal performance for integrated building design.
- Learn the effects that acoustics have on occupants and how performance textiles enhance the acoustic performance of a space thus making occupants more comfortable and productive.
- Understand the many factors that go into performance textiles on facade applications including thermal and visual protection, increased airflow, smog prevention, and aesthetic benefits.
- Learn how the light weight and flexibility of performance textiles offer tensile structures freedom of design while simultaneously providing UV, weather and acoustic protection
